Manufacturing Guidelines for the Production of Rope Pumps in Mozambique

This manual has been prepared to give a general guideline for all manufacturers of the Rope Pump produced in Mozambique.

The document results from several years of work carried out by WaterAid and CARE together with implementing local NGO’s and the private sector involved in the Rope Pump Pilot Project under HAUPA (Higiene Ambiental e Uso Produtivo da Água).

Rope Pump experiences of other countries have also been incorporated.
The manual is intended to assist all Rope Pump Manufacturers and to make sure that the main pump features are corresponding to a simplified quality requirement, which is important for fitment of spare part
