Stronger Together! Water Women Evening Mingle and Networking

How many of the amazing water women do you know? There are always more than you think! Join us for a women-only meet and mingle event. Enjoy food and drinks while connecting with incredible women from around the world who share your passion for tackling water and sanitation challenges. This is a great chance to expand your network of fellow water women.
Although registrations have closed, you can join the “Pre-conference Connect” sessions on 20 August to meet others from the Stronger Together! Coalition who are attending the conference before it starts: register for Session 1 and Session 2 below.


Gender Equality and WASH – mutually reinforcing domains of change (ID 12290)

This session will showcase evidence-based examples of WASH programmes supporting greater gender equality and social inclusion through a focus on women's empowerment and WASH as mutually reinforcing objectives. it will also highlight how good data is essential to this recipe for change.


Three Ways Climate Finance Drives Us Toward SDG6 (ID 12141)

This session will explore innovative climate finance mechanisms—such as carbon credits—as a tool to accelerate WASH sector investment and progress towards SDG6. Through expert insights and a dynamic discussion, the session will discuss the potential of repayable finance models, improving water safety, and supporting corporate sustainability goals.

This session will explore how results-based finance works to scale safe water service delivery so that 24/7 reliability becomes a universal norm in climate-vulnerable rural communities. It will present evidence from financing mechanisms developed and tested in Uganda

Driving Demand: Market Solutions, Sanitation Planning & Climate-Resilient (ID 12173)

The One for All Alliance – IRC WASH, Water for People, and Water for Good – invests in sanitation innovations to close the gap for sustainable services in rural communities. Cases include market-based approaches, master planning, nature-based solutions, and demand generation for climate resilient sanitation solutions.

Principles of a Just Water Partnership: status review and update (ID 12310)

In early 2025, a multi-stakeholder process was initiated to co-develop the definition and underlying principles of a Just Water Partnership. This working session will review the draft text and solicit input from attendees (in-person and online) to gather additional input as it prepares to launch the principles at COP30.

Setting up a viable water-utility in rural and peri-urban East-Africa (ID 12186)

This session presents innovative financing and business models for climate-resilient rural water utilities. Through expert talks, case studies, and discussions, participants will explore strategies to foster partnerships, leverage blended finance, empower local entrepreneurs, and scale sustainable solutions for clean water access and climate resilience in underserved communities.

Implementing Water Quality Assurance Funds: Lessons from Ghana and Kenya (ID 12197)

This session explores the Water Quality Assurance Fund, an innovative financing mechanism strengthening rural water quality monitoring. Through lessons from Ghana, participants will learn how the Fund enables urban-rural laboratory partnerships to ensure safe drinking water amid increasing climate-related water challenges.

Climate Resilience Schools: The Interface of WinS & Climate Adaptation (ID 12282)

To ensure sustainable and resilient WASH services and behaviours in schools, we need better understanding of the absorptive capacity of the education sector. Providing clear strategies on how and which kind of solutions are feasible for scalable implementation. This session will showcase successful examples and recommendations for climate resilient WinS.

Elevating Equality: Integrating human rights for strong WASH systems (ID 12119)

How can including human rights’ principles (Participation, Accountability, Sustainability, Transparency and Access to Information, Equality & Non-discrimination) enhance system-strengthening approaches to achieve universal access to safely managed water and sanitation services, without discrimination?
