Welthungerhilfe - one of the biggest non-governmental aid and development agencies in Germany - campaigns against worldwide hunger and for sustainable food and nutrition security. This involves focusing on site-specific agriculture, access to clean water and sanitation and a modern, environment-friendly energy supply and improving healthcare and education. The core principle of Welthungerhilfe work is “help towards self-help”. With its large and diverse portfolio of activities in the fields of water, sanitation and hygiene, Welthungerhilfe has been implementing emergency-WASH interventions, as well as long-term development WASH-programmes in many developing countries around the world, for five decades.
Welthungerhilfe is looking to exchange information and knowledge through RWSN, especially on sustainability issues, and providing links to other events and organisations, particularly the German WASH Network.
